Birthday Bike

Grandma and Grandad Groves got Fin his first bike for his birthday (yes, I realize technically it is a tricycle). Fin is totally enamoured with it and has also learned to smile for the camera to show his excitement. I LOVE this picture of our little two-year-old guy.

Happy Second Birthday Fin!

Fin had a great birthday--we had a party with friends, cake and balloons a few days before. On his actual day we had our traditional family fire to celebrate the moment he was born. Both events were big hits for Fin and he is still singing Happy Birthday to himself.

Grandad Groves!

Just before Hallowe'en my Dad flew out to spend a week with us. He and Fin had loads of fun together at the beach, reading, and even carving pumpkins. It was great to see you Grandad!

Hallowe'en!

Fin wasn't so into putting on a costume this year so we improvised by putting some black fur on his tummy and calling him a Gorilla! He had a great time carving pumpkins, trick-or-treating at our neighbours, and eating LOTS of sugar! We brought the camera out too late and got only sugar lows...but here they are anyway!

Dad-doh

Who knows what this means but he thinks it's really funny and always repeats it. Maybe it has to do with Dad? Maybe not. It is INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT to get video footage of this cutie these days as he always wants to see the screen on the other side. This is one of the only ones we've been able to get.

Outdoor Adventures!

Catching Up!

I apologize for it taking so long to put new Fin goodies on the blog. This summer with work and wedding has been so hectic! I am trying to catch up now! Here are some sweet shots of us at a wedding in June. I love Fin peeking through the grass.

Fin and his friend Abby like to smooch every chance they get. Like the paparazzi, we caught one of these moments on tape.

Dance Dance Wherever You May Be

Fin is a dancing king these days. This is a new favourite song by the Barenaked Ladies called Pollywog in a Bog. As soon as the reggae breakdown starts, Fin just can't help himself. I think we all have a thing or two to learn from these moves.

Finally-a new camera!

Thanks to our incredibly generous wedding present from Onnie and Paul, Simon and I were able to take part of it to buy a new camera pre-wedding. We are thankful that we are able to capture more photos of the wee muncher. We got some fantastic images this weekend. Here are a few!

Well, I am so glad to hear that you all loved the last video! I thought only parents would love something like that but I suppose I should have included grandparents and the like. Si took these great pictures of the two of them exploring in the woods. I LOVE them! Hope you do too.

A quick note about the slow down on pictures---our camera was broken by none other than the star of the show! We plan to buy a new one soon so never fear, it will be a non-stop Fin shop again soon!

Ice Sculptures and Other Adventures in Ontario

We had a great time in Ontario in the middle of February. Fin got to see a winter carnival complete with ice mazes and sculptures. We also had a great dinner with all his extend-o-cousins where some serious limbo happened. Here is Sophia leading the charge.
